Filmerez is a video marketing agency based in Melbourne, Victoria, Australia. This policy explains what personal information we collect, why we collect it, who we share it with, and what you can do about it.
We handle personal information in line with the Australian Privacy Principles under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).
What we collect
We only collect what we need to answer an enquiry and do the work.
- Information you give us. Your name, email address, phone number, business name and website or social media handle, when you fill in a form on this site, submit a Facebook or Instagram lead form, book a call, or email us.
- Information about your visit. Pages viewed, time on page, approximate location, device and browser type, and how you arrived — collected through cookies and similar technologies.
- Client information. If you become a client, the information needed to deliver and invoice the work, including billing details and any material you provide for production.
We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18, and we do not collect sensitive information as defined by the Privacy Act.

Cookies and advertising
This site uses the Meta pixel. It places cookies on your device and reports actions you take here — such as viewing a page or submitting a form — back to Meta. We use this to measure whether our advertising works and to show ads to people who have visited this site.
You can control this. Turn off or delete cookies in your browser settings, and adjust your advertising preferences in your Facebook and Instagram account settings. Blocking cookies won't stop you using this site.
Who we share it with
We don't sell your personal information to anyone. We share it only with the services we use to run the business:
- Meta — advertising, pixel measurement, and lead forms submitted on Facebook or Instagram
- HubSpot — our customer records and email
- HTML Pub — hosting for this website
- iClosed — call bookings
- Zoho Books — invoicing and accounts
- Google — business profile and reviews
Some of these providers store data outside Australia, including in the United States. We also disclose information where the law requires it.
Marketing emails
If you've given us your details or worked with us, we may send you occasional emails about our work and offers. Every one has an unsubscribe link, and we act on unsubscribes promptly, as required by the Spam Act 2003 (Cth). You can also reply to any email and ask to be removed.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiries while they're still relevant to a possible project, and delete them on request. Client records are kept for at least five years, as Australian tax law requires. Footage and photographs from a shoot are kept in our archive unless you ask us to delete them.
Keeping it secure
Your information is held in reputable third-party systems protected by access controls and encryption in transit. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect what we hold, and we only keep what we need.
Your rights
You can ask us to:
- Tell you what personal information we hold about you
- Correct anything that's wrong or out of date
- Delete your information, where we're not required to keep it
- Stop sending you marketing

Complaints
If you think we've mishandled your information, email info@filmerez.com.au and we'll look into it and reply within 30 days. If you're not satisfied with our response, you can take it to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.
Changes
If we change this policy we'll update the date at the top of this page.
